During the day, worked the painters of landscape motifs, painted the local people in genre scenes, portrayed each other, or set up easels to paint the river Loing. In the evening they met for meals and parties, discussions and masquerades. In this crowd of happy colleagues were such Krøyer, Karin and Carl Larsson, Bruno Liljefors, Strindberg, Frederik Collett, Christian Krogh as well as Maggie and Christian Skredsvig.
