In 1924, David moved to Paris; He was chosen with 33 other artists - including Marie Vassilieff, Pierre Dubreuil - to decorate a pilaster (for others a pillar) of the famous brasserie La Coupole in Paris. The inauguration took place on 20 December 1927 and was surrounded by friends Leon Weissberg, Othon Friez, and Moise Kisling.
