The oeuvre, which he created over several decades, includes mainly representations of nature and wildlife. In 1937 Prokofiev was awarded the silver medal at the International Hunting Exhibition in Berlin. During World War II his studio was destroyed, yet many of his works were saved by Lutz Heck, director of the Berlin Zoo. The oeuvre, which he created over several decades, includes mainly representations of nature and wildlife.
