Albe and in Paris at Académie Julian with JP Laurens. In 1897 Edward married Zofia Wanda Tolkemit, the daughter of a landowner. Together they left for Munich, and then via Hungary to Rome. They lived there, with some breaks, for 20 years. There, Okun took part in the life of the Polish artistic colony. He traveled around Italy to Sorrento, Amalfi, Venice, Padua, Ravenna, Florence and Siena. He returned to Poland in 1921 and became a professor at the School of Fine Arts... Read full biography
