He usually painted his river scenes in very dark shades of green and brown, such as in this tranquil depiction of fishermen. He exhibited throughout England, most notably eleven times at the famed Royal Academy, 45 times at Suffolk Street, and twenty-five times at the British Institution. These were probably...
