He held an apprenticeship as a lithographer from 1922 where he made his first woodcuts, and from 1927-29 attended the Dresden Applied Arts Academy with Arno Drescher. In 1929 Bursche began studying at the Dresden Art Academy with Richard Müller and then from 1930 was a master student of Otto Dix, member of the ASSO and the Dresden Secession... Read full biography
