Born in Milan, Fabrizio Clerici (1913-1993) moved with his family to Rome in 1920, where he graduated from his studies in architecture at Scuola Superiore di Architettura in 1937. He met the painter Giorgio de Chirico who encouraged him to draw. Clerici's first exhibition took place in 1943.
