Georg first studied at the School of Applied Arts in Dresden, Germany, as a student of Hugo Spieler. He later attended the Academy as a student of Robert Diez. Georg first studied at the School of Applied Arts in Dresden, Germany, as a student of Hugo Spieler. He later attended the Academy as a student of Robert Diez. In 1914, Georg Bauch was awarded the Prix de Rome. This was followed by numerous trips to Rome, Palermo, Agrigento, Paris and Copenhagen. In 1917, Georg built his own studio with an ore foundry as well, in Dresden-Loschwitz. He participated in the Große Berliner Kunstausstellung in 1925.
