By covering what the viewer assumes to be the subject of a work, one begins to wonder what the piece would look like when uncovered. This idea of covering can be likened to that of a revelation, but while covered, the subject is at its most vulnerable. Shachar's works therefore present the viewer with a very uneasy and delicate situation impossible to remedy.
