His pieces, with their shrouded subjects, evoke many different feelings about tasks of the everyday as well as our fears. By covering what the viewer assumes to be the subject of a work, one begins to wonder what the piece would look like when uncovered. This idea of covering can be likened to that of a revelation, but while covered, the subject is at its most vulnerable. Shachar's works therefore present the viewer with a very uneasy and delicate situation impossible to remedy.
