He is most famous for his sculptures of immense, ripe fruits - a greengrocer's fantasy cast in clay and intensely coloured, as if picked from some surreal orchard of the imagination.... They contrast with Hedberg's more disturbing creations - spiny, tentacled forms, apparently dragged from the depths of the sea.
