"The master student of Otto Dix refused his entire life always to be used as a representative of the GDR by the communist authorities. Among the thousands of his drawings, diagrams and sketches can be found not a single sheet, in which he in the ideology or even propaganda the State party had made concessions" (Hildegard and Hans Theo Richter Foundation). Hans Theo Richter passed away in 1969.
