He also did paintings of still life and landscapes. He also produced posters under the pseudonym Hamner (an anagram of his name), including two chromolithographs advertising Delhaize style Art Nouveau. Herman Richir entered the Academy of Fine Arts of Saint-Josse-ten-Node and received backing from Charles Hermans who provided valuable advice. From 1884 to 1889 he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels under the direction of Jean-François Portaels. Already a memer of the Academy in 1885,... Read full biography
