From 1976 to 1981 she studied at the Academy of Arts in Hamburg, followed by her studies of Korean art history at the Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea. At the age of 20, Song Hyun-Sook moved to Germany, where she discovered her passion for painting almost accidentally. From 1976 to 1981 she studied at the Academy of Arts in Hamburg, followed by her studies of Korean art history at the Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea. She then returned to Hamburg and has since worked as an artist, illustrator and documentary filmmaker. In her paintings, the artist intends to combine Western and Eastern elements of art.
