Stylistically, Delpy's painting is still entirely in the tradition of the Barbizon school. Its open-air studies are characterized by their intimacy of conception and by its subtle colourism. In an original way the artist has put together the individual studies of a bank section of the river Oise to a wide, atmospherically evocative panorama.
