His painting has sprouted from Impressionism, neo-impressionism and the aesthetic world of the turn of the century sensitive to night tones. The Szeged-born painter first learned the basics of fine arts in Pest, then in 1904 he reached the capital of modern art, Paris, together with his friend József Brummer, who later became a renowned New York art dealer. After a short detour in Munich, he was able to return to Paris in 1907 thanks to his hometown’s multi-year artistic scholarship.
