Tharrats evolved from a certain initial impressionism towards a progressive abstraction, through the influences of Mondrian and Kandinsky. He exhibited his work in various galleries and biennials around the world. Tharrats also developed his own version of printmaking techniques and created posters, book illustrations, murals, stained glass, mosaics, jewelry, and opera scenographies.
