As a boy, he was a chorister at the Royal Chapel, but showing strong inclination for art, in 1775, he became a student at the Royal Academy. As a boy, he was a chorister at the Royal Chapel, but showing strong inclination for art, in 1775, he became a student at the Royal Academy.
