After traveling extensively he became member of the Hamburg secession, of the Hamburgische Künstlerschaft and of the Altonaer Künstlerverein since 1923. Lowengard was harassed by the Nazis for a long time before 1939. After that time, he emigrated to London. There he died devitalized only a few month later.... Read full biography
