He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Krefeld and at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf, where he was a master student of Josef Huber-Feldkirch. He traveled to Rome, Paris, Florence and Munich. Bösken was a member of the National Association of Visual Artists and the Artists Association 'Malkasten'. As well, he joined the 'Mutter-Ey-Kreis'. In 1919, he founded the... Read full biography

In 1919, he founded the artists' group 'Das Junge Rheinland'. In the Third Reich, he was banned from exhibiting. During the war many of his works were destroyed.
