She obtained her doctorate in 1983 and is currently a member of the Royal Academies of San Fernando in Madrid, Santa Isabel de Hungría in Seville, and Sant Jordi in Barcelona. Granero has won several prizes, including the City of Barcelona, and has several public works in that city, as well as in Zaragoza and Palma de Mallorca.
