In the years 1946–48 Marek Oberlander studied at the High School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Then in 1948-53 he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In 1955 he was a co-organizer of the Polish National Young Art Exhibition, which under the name "Arsenal" entered the legend of Polish modern art. In 1955 he was a co-organizer of the Polish National Young Art Exhibition, which under the name "Arsenal" entered the legend of Polish modern art.
