He worked in London for a number of years as a decorator and designer. He lived in Ydra from 1961 until his death in 1989, working exclusively as a painter. He held more than 10 solo exhibitions, in London, Montreal, Brussels, Athens, Nicosia, and elsewhere. He took part in a number of group exhibitions, most notably the Alexandria Biennale (1968). Loizidis's work falls into the category of geometrical abstract art.
