She began focusing on western themes in the mid-1920s and sketched in New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming, California, Mexico and Canada. According to her son, Fred Pneuman, her favorite subjects were mountains, primarily in Colorado and New Mexico. She painted Southwest Indian subjects as well as early missionary...
