One of his best known works was a paint-splashed pair of jeans mounted in a collage titled Omaha-6994. He was a graduate of the University of Omaha and then studied four years at the Chicago Art Institute. From 1946 to 1954, he lived in New York and studied with Hans Hofmann and Julian Levi and became a noted magazine illustrator. He returned to Omaha where, until 1978, he worked for the advertising firm of Bozell and Jacobs and then devoted himself full-time to his... Read full biography

From 1946 to 1954, he lived in New York and studied with Hans Hofmann and Julian Levi and became a noted magazine illustrator. He returned to Omaha where, until 1978, he worked for the advertising firm of Bozell and Jacobs and then devoted himself full-time to his painting until his death in 1983.
