He continued his studies at the Charlottenborg Art Academy, to which he was admitted at the unusually young age of 14. Vantore subsequently studied in Paris (1923-25) where he came under the influence of the Post-Impressionists, particularly Derain, Gauguin and the Nabis. He continued his studies at the Charlottenborg Art Academy, to which he was admitted at the unusually young age of 14. Vantore subsequently studied in Paris (1923-25) where he came under the influence of the Post-Impressionists, particularly Derain, Gauguin and the Nabis. Returning to Denmark, he continued to exhibit successfully in Paris while commencing to exhibit annually, from 1922, at Copenhagen’s Charlottenborg Museum. In 1930, he was awarded the Akademie scholarship which enabled him to live and paint while traveling in Europe for two years. He continued his studies at the Charlottenborg Art Academy, to which he was admitted at the unusually young age of 14. Vantore subsequently studied in Paris (1923-25) where he came under the influence of the Post-Impressionists, particularly Derain, Gauguin and the Nabis. Returning to Denmark, he continued to exhibit successfully in Paris while commencing to exhibit annually, from 1922, at Copenhagen’s Charlottenborg Museum. In 1930, he was awarded the Akademie scholarship which enabled him to live and paint while traveling in Europe for two years. Over the course of a long career, Vantore exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous medals, prizes and juried awards.
