Born in Tehran Iran in 1943, Taraghijah Ali graduated from the College of Science & Technology in Mechanical Engineering in 1968. In 1970 he returned to Iran and pursued painting professionally. Personnel of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary arts in 1994 selected some of his work for permanent collection. He exhibited in many countries, among them United States and France. Personnel of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary arts in 1994 selected some of his work for permanent collection. He exhibited in many countries, among them United States and France. Like other contemporary Iranian artists such as Nasser Ovissi and Jazeh Tabatabie, he got his inspiration from Persian Miniatures, but has stylized into a contemporary version.
