At the same time, the material paper became the artist's primary working medium, whose materiality he began to research and artistically implement in the following decades in search of ever new possibilities and techniques. By tearing (often using a tear grille made of wooden panels and nails), cutting, he created increasingly filigree structures by pressing and folding.
