She first obtained a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1978. Shortly after, Rebecca left for Europe where she traveled and painted the sights of the countryside. She has lived in Chicago since the late 1980's, where she studied Printmaking at the Art Institute and Sculpture and Psychology at the College of DuPage.
