Then returning to New York State in 1975, she lived in Greenwood Lake until 1984, when she moved to Monroe, New York. Then returning to New York State in 1975, she lived in Greenwood Lake until 1984, when she moved to Monroe, New York. As a young girl she was very sickly with asthma as well as impoverished, but showing early talent, began painting at age nine. She took lessons at the Art Academy in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and after moving to New York City, enrolled at the Cardinal Spelman Center in 1964.
