In 1939 he was one of the founding members of Bijutsu Bunka Kyokai [Art and Culture Association], an association of anti-war surrealist painters and poets. In 1939 he was one of the founding members of Bijutsu Bunka Kyokai [Art and Culture Association], an association of anti-war surrealist painters and poets.
