The famous rock musician founded his "panic orchestra" in the early 1970s as a backing band, in 1976 released the LP "Panik-Udo", since then the term "panic" and its negation permeated his work. In the 1990s, Lindenberg discovered painting, in which he combined cartoons and caricatures. A first exhibition in 1996 was followed by many others, including that of 2005 entitled "Keine Panik. Udo Lindenberg's bunte Republik" at the House of History in Bonn. In the meantime, his paintings can be found, among other places, in the German Federal Chancellery, and in 2010 two special stamps designed by him were even issued.
