He was made member of the San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Art in Valencia, the Sant Jordi Catalan Royal Academy of Fine Art in Barcelona and the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Art in Madrid. His work can be described as Mediterranean realism with naturalist tendencies. In 1947, he was awarded the National Prize for Painting and Sculpture.
