Walter Georgi (George) was born in 1871, in Leipzig, Germany. Following his studies at the Leipzig Art Academy, Walter also visited the art academies in Dresden and Munich during the 1890's. In 1896, Walter Georgi worked as an illustrator for the 'Simplicissimus' and the 'Jugend.' In 1899, he became one of the founding members of the Munich artist association 'Scholle.' In 1896, Walter Georgi worked as an illustrator for the 'Simplicissimus' and the 'Jugend.' In 1899, he became one of the founding members of the Munich artist association 'Scholle.' Walter was also a member of the Werkbund in 1912. While active as an illustrator from 1914, he designed a range of field-postards for the bakery in Bahlsen. Walter was a professor at the Art Academy of Karlsruhe from 1908 through 1919. Walter Georgi died in Germany, in 1924. In 1896, Walter Georgi worked as an illustrator for the 'Simplicissimus' and the 'Jugend.' In 1899, he became one of the founding members of the Munich artist association 'Scholle.'
