In 1939 he established his first studio in Paris where he studied briefly with André Lhote and Fernand Léger in the 1940s. Wilfrid Moser's early work was figurative, often with motifs from the postwar Paris. In the 1950s he developed a gestural abstraction, with which he made an important contribution to the European Action Painting. Moser died in 1997.
