Many of his works depict historical maritime events such as the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. Willy Stöwer, the son of a sea captain, was born in Wolgast, Germany on the Baltic coast. Many of his works depict historical maritime events such as the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. Willy Stöwer, the son of a sea captain, was born in Wolgast, Germany on the Baltic coast.
