Costas Malamos was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts from 1932 - 1937 with Umbertos Argyros, Pavlos Mathiopoulos, and Costas Parthenis. He had his first one-man exhibition at Ioannina, Epirus in 1933. Other solo and group shows followed both in Greece and abroad. He has also painted frescos in churches and other public buildings.
