He studied art at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. Namingha, whose ancestry is Hopi-Tewa, carries a strong family tradition of artistic expression into its fifteenth generation.
