Eugene Spatharis (2 January 1924-9 May 2009) was an artist of Greek shadow theater and one of the most important painters. Born in Kifissia on 2 January 1924. After his schooling, he started painting and especially for the shadow theater, learning from the pioneers one of whom was his father, Sotiris Spatharis, who died in 1974.
