Frank Girardin was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1856. He studied art in Cincinnati under Frank Noble and later with Frank Duveneck at the Cincinnati Art Academy. Girardin was known primarily for his landscapes and unique use of color. He spent the first part of his career in Richmond, Indiana between 1880 and 1910, and was the director of the Richmond Art Association. Frank Girardin was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1856. He studied art in Cincinnati under Frank Noble and later with Frank Duveneck at the Cincinnati Art Academy. Girardin was known primarily for his landscapes and unique use of color. He spent the first part of his career in Richmond, Indiana between 1880 and 1910, and was the director of the Richmond Art Association.
