Frederick Hall, known by most as simply Fred Hall, is perhaps best known as a member of the Newlyn School of painters. Having studied at Lincoln School of Art between 1879 and 1881, he moved to Cornwall in the early 1880s to paint alongside fellow ex-Lincoln student, Frank Bramley, Stanhope Forbes and others.
