Georg Karl Pfahler received his first artistic training at the Nuremberg Art Academy in 1948, which was followed by further classes at the Art Academy in Stuttgart, until 1954. His teachers were Manfred Henninger, Karl Hils, Gerhard Gollwitzer and Willi Baumeister, who deeply influenced his early works.
