Geza Farago was born in 1877. Ferenc Újházy taught Farago to draw. Later, Farago worked at a blue-paint factory in Budapest. Farago travelled to Paris in 1898, where he attended Colorassi's evening classes for a while. Farago worked in Alfonz Mucha's workshop for two years.
