Istvan Kancsura was born in 1941. A student of the "Ioan Andreescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca, the artist Istvan Kancsura has stood out since 1965 in group exhibitions, graphic salons and biennials. He studied in the USSR (1968) and Hungary (1969). Aimed at the rationality of construction, the artist evolved from a figurative painting to a constructive image. He practiced initially in easel painting and later in optical and kinetic constructions. (GM)
