He nevertheless remained faithful to the Leman shores that he visited regularly; numerous of his landscape paintings, especially beach scenes, show his attachment to Lake Geneva. He was a follower of "precisionism", a precursor of the technique of "transparence", a master of figurative art and realism as well as a fervent supporter of surrealism.
