Jean-Charles Blais, born in Nantes, studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes. From the early 1980s he dealt with the Nouveaux Réalistes, Pop Art and Arte Povera. Since the turn of the millennium, digital technologies and new materials have been in the center of his work.
