JJ Klever was a Russian landscape and still life painter, son of the famous painter, Professor J. Klever (Sen.). He first studied with his father and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (1906-1908). Since 1898, he participated in various exhibitions in St. Petersburg. A solo exhibition of his work was held in Moscow in 1910. From 1902-1906 and 1909-1917 he taught at an art school in St. Petersburg.
