Born in Tunisia in 1951, the painter, sculptor and ceramicist Khaled Ben-Slimane grew up in Nabeul and came in touch with the long-lasting tradition of pottery. Between 1977 and 1979, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Tunis and at the Escuela Massana in Barcelona. He then opened a studio in Tunis.
