Manuel (Manolo) Rivera Fernandez (1927-1995). Often called Manuel Rivera, his full name is Manuel Rivera Hernández. He learned sculpting at the religious images studio of Martín Simón, but he preferred painting as a medium of expression. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Granada and, in 1942, visited Madrid for the first time, where he was deeply impressed by the Prado Museum.
