Margaret Morris was born in 1891. Morris's personal life was colourful: she was bohemian in spirit. She had an affair with the writer John Galsworthy as a young woman, and her long-term partnership with the Scottish Colourist artist John Duncan Fergusson did not rule out other liaisons, for either of them.
