Miguel Angel Gomez was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on December 24, 1906. Gomez studied lithography at the Guyayas Philanthropic Society of Guayaquil. He worked for 36 years as a cartoonist for El Universo in Ecuador. He appears to have moved to southern California about 1980 and died in Burbank on January 9, 1994.
